I'm Baaaa-aaaaack...

Hank, you've looked pretty good the last couple of games but is it weird knowing that Heather isn't watching?

I hear she's back in Buffalo now.

Yeah.

Hank, is it true that the Sabres could have had you for 25 million over 5 years?!

Five years!

25 million!

Maybe I know something you don't know!

What? Nah, I can't stand that chick. She's mean.

Hank, her blog does say she's back in Buffalo. In fact, a source close to the situation says she's actually going to be at the arena tonight.

Yep.

How does that make you feel going into the game?

That's right! Not only am I back in Buffalo, I will soon be making my TRIUMPHANT return to HSBC Arena! Jochen will score his 20th goal and Hank will get a hat trick! Place your bets now, people!

BWAHAHAHAH!!!

Also, you should make a sign, Heather. That way I can see where you are and honk loudly in your direction.

<-- gets to go to HSBC tomorrow too!

Kate, thank you!

289, I'm sorry! I should have put up a "not to be read before bedtime" notice. Would it help if I tell you I''m totally planning on buying a Kaleta! shirt in the next couple of weeks? (Don't read that Mark!)

Matt, sadly I've learned I'm not a sign person. And my friend has the tickets so I can't even tell you what section I'm in although I do remember that it's in the 300s behind the goal that the Sabres shoot on twice. However! If you see a woman who looks like she hasn't exercised in three months walking around on crutches while wearing a Tallinder jersey, say hello because it's probably me :-D

This is great! So clever!

Have fun at the game Heather and Matt. I'll be watching on extreme TiVo delay and the Sabres seem to win pretty reliably when that's the case so I'll keep my fingers crossed that you guys see a good one.

I have to admit, Heather, this post makes me kind of jealous, because our Mr Tall Indian is so seriously adorable. He and Kevin Sylvester should have a dimple-off one of these days.

Bucky squawking out "5 years! 25 million! Maybe I know something you don't know!" had me rolling.

Have fun at the game tonight (you too, Matt)! If a certain German scores number 20, throw some yo-yos on the ice for me. (Just kidding. If you're sitting in the 300s you could kill someone like that.)

Best post ever!

Bucky's kind of scary looking when he's in full-on rant mode.

Have fun at the game tonight! I'll bet on Yo-Yo getting his 20th tonight. I won't say the same about Hank and a hat trick, unfortunately.

That was brilliant!

I love picture shows! I really do. Well done, Heather B., well done. Who knew Hank showed such a range of emotion in his interviews?

You should make a sign that has your blog address on it. I know you said you're not a sign person, but that's just good advertising. haha.

Heather,

This is probably the funniest post I've ever read. Great Job and keep up the good work. I read your blog every day. Have fun at the game, I had an opportunity to go a couple of weeks ago and I had a blast. I hope you give them better luck than I did because we lost 3-2 to Detroit when I was in attendance.

This has got to be the best post ever! I love picture stories! Well, actually, I love anything where I get to see that many pics of Hank!

Wow, I saw you working on all those video shots, but I never imagined it would be so funny. Kudos!

The Kaleta! shirt? No I didn't read that at all :-))

High-larry-ous.

Where did you get all those images from? I've never seen pictures of Bucky aside from his head shot in the news.

Guys, I'm really glad you enjoyed this because this post totally kicked my ass. If I'd known it was going to take as long as it did (weeks! okay, hours!) before I started, I probably wouldn't have bothered.

For the record, Bucky was not originally involved, just so you all don't think I'm completely obsessed. But then I decided it would be funny if he popped in to ask the 5/25 question. And then I got a particularly rant-y looking freeze frame of him. And then I got the freeze frame of Hank looking like he was hiding from something. And then it snowballed. Eventually I'll move on from Bucky. Maybe.

Gambler, please. This was a particularly wide-ranging interview emotionally - it went from joking about getting cleared as soon as other people started getting hurt to seriously discussing the no-call on Upshall - but if you pick the right interview, I'm sure you could do a totally adorable conversation with Jochen as well. When he scores his 20th tonight I'll be sure to yell, "Gambler loves you, Yo-Yo!"

Anne, the seats I have with Mark (not the ones I'll be in tonight) are right in front of one end of the press box and I've often joked about how funny it would be to put a sign that says "TIRED OF THE BUFFALO NEWS? READ TOP SHELF!" on the overhang right in front of the reporters. Never actually done it though.

D.O. thanks for reading every day!

Jennifer, I'm not going to lie, while writing this post I stopped and had an email exchange with a few friends about how beautiful Hank's fingers are. Look at them! They're so long! (I love hands.)

Dave, I got the Hamilton, Harrington, and Gleason shots from interviews on the website for Buffalo Main Event (Brad Riter's show). You can see all the Bucky you wanna see over there if you're so inclined.

Hank is just a beautiful man (period). I'm sorta thinking that he might need to start wearing body armor, just so no one hurts him. I think they only do it b/c they're jealous of his beauty and magnatism.

Heather, that is totally worth the effort you put in! I love it. I laughed out loud when I got to 5 for $25 million.

"Eventually I'll move on from Bucky. Maybe."

Please don't! Keep that bitter Sullivan-wannabe in check as much as you can!

I did some archive-reviewing the other day, and had forgotten how good Gleason is as "assessing the market." I loved his astute observation that Drury & Briere are worth $6.0 - $6.75 MM, but that Roy would be worth $800k and Vanek would be worth $3.0MM. If I ever see a quote from him again criticizing management's "inability to foresee the market," I'd love to remind him of those wonder predictions.

Anyway, I just found this linking from the BNews Blogs. I always appreciated your takes over there and I'm glad to see more.

Keep up the great work - this was HILARIOUS!
