Seriously, I'm thrilled for the Red Wings. I came into this series thinking I'd be okay with either team winning but somewhere along the way I really started rooting for Detroit. I think it was probably all that stellar, choking defense. And Nicklas Lidstrom and his surprisingly squeaky voice and Swedish-Midwestern accent. More tomorrow after I get some sleep.

Heather, the "Maybe in 2010" picture just reminded me that now that the Finals are over, I can go back to spazzing about Ryan Miller FULL TIME. So, thanks for that. I assume I can turn to you for emotional support, beeyotch. :P
I really didn't care which team one, I'm just glad none of the teams I didn't want to win made the final.
Wouldn't it have been awesome if Sid tied it up in the last second though. That would have been awesome theater.
I just wanted to say that you made some very astute observations, there! :)
Kate, don't you worry. I will always be here to tell you you're being an irrational and ridiculous harpy :P
GregK, hockey-wise it definitely would've been awesome even if I was rooting for the other team.
Soph, thanks. It took many weeks of observation to come to the conclusion that the Sabres were indeed not in the playoffs. I thought maybe they just got a bye for the first few rounds :P

...and Pommers and Goose.
So I've decided that it would be well worth it to offer Zetterberg and Lidstrom $1000000000000000000000000 to become Sabres. I don't care if they're not free agents.
I love the Osgood picture.
I don't think Miller would jump to the Red Wings, but his waxing poetic about the Red Wings, the Cup and Michigan in his blog is probably making a nice portion of the Sabres fanbase a tad bit twitchy.
I am disappointed that it did not go to seven games. One more game and I probably would have gotten over the top in the fantasy league. Though I will file a protest, because as far as I am concerned, there had to be some irregularities in the scoring calculations if I did not win.

Sore Loser!!! :p
Vanek's Hair, you made a valiant run at the title in the final weeks of the playoff fantasy league. I salute you, sir. I had no idea you were nipping at my heels like that, good things too, because the pressure might have caused me to choke. Better luck next year! :P
What?? The Sabres didn't win the Stanley Cup? I've been pulling for them all playoffs. I guess I should get a channel that airs hockey games so that I can watch them in the playoffs next year too.
Congratulations Katebits. I think went wire to wire. Impressive.

Yeah. There were days I might have traded the entire roster for Zetterberg and Lidstrom. They're both amazing players.
Amy, I'm sure some people are totally freaking out about Ryan's blog. I don't think he's going to jump to the Wings and based on what I've read about the Wings over the last few days I don't really see them throwing 7 million dollars plus at a free agent goalie. The very affordable goalie tandem they have now is working just fine for them.
Vanek's Hair, Kate forgot to set her line-up one week and had half a team that was over the limit and you STILL couldn't beat her. Shameful :P
Good to know I'm not the only one completely thrown by Lidstrom's voice/accent.

Plus, I'm a total idiot!
Well in my defense, I usually set my lineup when I was drunk.
