Three Choices

I'm curious to know how many of Daniel Alfredsson's 1,000 career points came against the Buffalo Sabres.  I remember at least 987, but I'm not sure about the rest

It appears that we have three options if we want to see a winning Sabres season:

1. Blow up HSBC Arena and then pretend we're all upset when Gary Bettman informs us that we'll have to play all the rest of our games on the road.

2. Have the Sabres stay in a hotel even while in Buffalo and assume they're dumb enough to think that means they're on the road.

OR

3. Fire everyone and start from scratch.

Should we put it to a vote?

Actually, this is less dumb than it sounds. I remember a couple times when teams that were going through bad home stretches did the hotel routine when they were at home (I think the Blackhawks even did in last year's playoffs at one point) and it can help. It makes sense - fewer distractions, everyone is on the same routine, coaches can keep tabs on everyone and see who's violating curfew... ;) Plus it can sort of trick the subconscious to help get them out of a mental rut.

Kathleen, that's true. I don't know if they still do it but the Devils used to stay in hotels at home during the playoffs for the same reason. I think we should try it. (And tell them someone blew up Chippewa.)
