I'm a Buffalo oddball - I loooooove Dany Heatley. He makes almost twice as much money as Roy-Z though so we'll have to lose someone else too. Which I'm fine with, you know?
I'm so excited that we're now in the "pre free agency" phase! We can start dealing all the stupid Sabres away now! WOOOO!
Hm. How about this? Roy for Heatley, straight up. I know Heatley is better, but Roy has a GREAT cap hit, and the Sens will be lucky to get a good point producer in return for a guy who everyone knows the have to deal. THEN, we sign and trade Staffy for some draft picks. I'm willing to roll the dice and get rid of Staffy. I think he's being mismanaged by Lindy (Lindy seems to hate him), so what good is he going to for us? I think he's still got a lot of potential, but he seems stalled in Buffalo. Rather than give him a raise, lets just unload him and spend the potential cap space on Heater!

Kate, are we sure we want to deal Staffy? I mean, looking at the Penguins success, the Sabres are SURE to fire Lind before the season starts, right? (Hmmm.. Heh. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :::wipes tears from eyes::: Okay, we'll deal Staffy.)
Yeah, I don't have a good feeling about Staffy under the long term tutelage of Lindy, so if we're not firing Lindy (my first choice of actions) let's ship Staffy off!

How about Roy-Z for Heatley? I know we hate Heatley, and I know he's a GIGANTIC ASS for a variety of reasons, but he's quite good at hockey!

Anyone that Lindy hates might as well just leave. For every thing they do extremely right Ruff will point out a blooper.

Becky, whine away. I do love Lindy but I will always, always agree that he mishandled Max in a major, major way. No question about that IMO.
