Another One Bites the Dust

It's hard to really feel sorry for these guys but dude, this is officially the worst anonymous testing EVER.

Is it sad that the first think I thought was, "Bill Simmons is going to be crushed"?

And Big Papi says he doesn't know what it is he took. Please. MAYBE Manny can get away with that because he's the biggest moron on the planet. But every other baseball player knows what they are putting in their body.

Did you read the column Simmons wrote after Manny failed his test? I think he was already crushed. He pretty much decided then the whole roster was on PEDs, I think.

Is it wrong that a little tiny part of me was happy because most of the Boston fans I know were extremely self-righteous back when Alex Rodriguez went down?

If any of these guys don't know what they took it's because they didn't want to know, I think. They just told their guy to give 'em whatever works.

Fairly certain they at least told them they tested positive all those years ago - he didn't think to check what for?

I was a little glad that somebody from Boston got caught too. A lot of Boston fans have thought this whole story was biased since it came from the New York Times but so far the PEDs story has been all over the Yankees (A-Rod, Sheffield, Clemens, Pettitte, Giambi) and the Red Sox have gotten off scotch free even though diehard Sox fans knew that at least a few of those guys were using something.

The saddest part of all of this, even sadder than tainting one of the best postseasons in baseball history, is that Jose Canseco gets to say "I told you so" again. He's now saying that he knows of one Hall of Fame player that is on the list too. My guess is Rickey. He's the only guy in the Hall of Fame that played in 2003 and he did play with Canseco and McGwire.

If anybody ever tells you, "No one will ever know," don't believe them.
