Edible, but not up to the standards of the Carolinas. It's better than Kentucky Greg's though, I actually spat it out. I could not fathom why my co-workers continued to eat it, especially when the former chef we worked with had brought dessert.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6099439052359653516.post-75301449074844943432008-06-15T23:03:00.000-04:002008-06-15T23:03:00.000-04:00Heather, mark your calendar: Friday, August 8th, p...Heather, mark your calendar: Friday, August 8th, probably around 3pm. And I don't put ketchup on store bought chips but on freshly cut actually potato-y potato chips? Ketchup is a must. After ...The deep fried oreos were quite the enigma. After the first bite my first thought was, "Not bad, but a little odd." But I was hooked after two or three bites. The best part was how soft the oreo was after being fried, kind of like when you dip them a long time in milk.

But while I was enjoying them, my body was acting a little weird. I don't eat stuff like this a lot, so it was kind of saying, "What kind of crap are you putting into me, dude??"Mark Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04495690715950782958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6099439052359653516.post-28740638596191230842008-06-15T11:04:00.000-04:002008-06-15T11:04:00.000-04:00Good to see I'm not the only one who puts ketchup ...Good to see I'm not the only one who puts ketchup on chips.twoeightninehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04987466280583349784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6099439052359653516.post-49224900460809640782008-06-15T10:43:00.000-04:002008-06-15T10:43:00.000-04:00Karen, I've actually never been to Duff's. I know...Karen, I've actually never been to Duff's. I know, I'm awful. Maybe that should go on the "things to do this summer" list. (While we're here I have your stuff all ready to mail back finally. In the preparations for moving it all got boxed up and I had to dig around and find it again. I'm so sorry! Your friend is probably all healed up by now. I'm terrible!)

I tried a bite of the Oreos and they weren't awful but my bite was mostly dough. I couldn't really taste the cookie. Still, I was not inspired to eat a basket of them any time soon. They also had deep friend Twinkies but Mark was tapped out by the time we got to them. The chips were fantastic though.

Lee, you'll have to let me know how the blueberry dog goes. I'm skeptical but it's an interesting idea.Heather B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06796852014625052317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6099439052359653516.post-23572885491201806722008-06-15T00:51:00.000-04:002008-06-15T00:51:00.000-04:00"Deep Fried Oreo's"? What are Blueberry Dogs you ask? They are like corn dogs but instead of dipping them in cornbread batter I will be dipping them in blueberry muffin batter. Nobody must tell anybody this recipe though because I plan to become a millionaire with this new invention.

Those potato chips look awesome. I might have to make some of those too but Alton Brown showed me how to make every kind of potato EXCEPT potato chips! Then again I don't eat much in the way of fried foods so I might not really be in a position to judge.

I'm jealous you got to go to the Allentown Art Festival though. Really, what does a boy know of fried chocolate cookies? (Probably about as much as a girl knows about hockey, Karen, stop stereotyping.) Points for the Star Wars pillowcase. Negative points for not listing Duff's in your favorite Buffalo food places.karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01015005627576368267noreply@blogger.com
