The words should get across the emotion, not the punctuation. But I do agree that online communication is a different beast altogether. That's why I occasionally indulge in emoticons even though I kind of hate them.

I uh... am not sure the Flyers have enough self-awareness to make fun of themselves :P (<---- signifies joking and/or sarcasm)Heather B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06796852014625052317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6099439052359653516.post-70106198403344663202008-05-16T18:35:00.000-04:002008-05-16T18:35:00.000-04:00I laugh at my own jokes ALL THE TIME!!!!!! :D LOL!...I laugh at my own jokes ALL THE TIME!!!!!! :D LOL!!!!!!!!

:PKatebitshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12364106843885805603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6099439052359653516.post-44151112178071544132008-05-16T09:36:00.000-04:002008-05-16T09:36:00.000-04:00Aw, I miss the snazzy background! Scott Fitzgerald that "using an exclamation point is like laughing at your own joke". But, since starting to communicate online, I've found the no-really-I'm-just-joking exclamation point to be very, very important. Maybe that's what the Flyers are going for here? A "ha ha, can you believe we're saying 'why not us'? lol!" Of course, I especially enjoyed that bad-ass one of Yo-Yo at the Ice Bowl. But good work with the banner, and I definitely understand needing to take a break from the layout settings.Gamblerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04689781483939487937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6099439052359653516.post-85236526124558779662008-05-16T01:46:00.000-04:002008-05-16T01:46:00.000-04:00Why Not an Exclamation Point! Why Not an Exclamation Point!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
